Getting tested for COVID-19 remains an important way to stay healthy and protect our families and communities. That’s why we’re fully covering COVID-19 tests under our Health & Welfare Fund – with no copay.
However, please note that COVID-19 tests will only be covered when they are ordered by your physician before you arrive at a testing site. Without an order from your physician, the Fund will not be able to reimburse you, and you will have to pay out of pocket.
If you don’t have a primary care physician, you can also get coverage for tests through the CVS Minute Clinic. Just make sure to fill out this questionnaire ahead of time to make sure you qualify and pre-register.

If you are getting tested because you were exposed to someone with COVID-19, the CDC recommends that you do the following until you receive your test results:

Isolate from others and do not go into work. Self-quarantining is critical to protect your friends, family, and others from possibly getting COVID-19 from you.

Think about the people you have recently been in contact with. This is important information to give to health workers if you test positive.

Answer any phone calls from your state or local health department. All discussions with health department staff are confidential, and making yourself available to health workers can help stop the spread of COVID-19 in your community.

Take advantage of free testing, and make sure you talk to your doctor or register beforehand. Call our health coach Kristin Woodruff at 781-272-1000 ext. 577 if you have any questions, or email the Health & Welfare Fund at
