September is National Suicide Prevention Month
September is National Suicide Prevention Month, a crucial time to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
With a suicide rate that is four times greater than the national average, the construction industry is facing a suicide crisis. Construction workers are at a heightened risk for suicide due to a variety of factors. But that doesn’t mean we need to accept this reality – we can combat the crisis together.
By creating a supportive and compassionate environment, we can encourage more people to reach out for the help they deserve. We are dedicated to offering resources and support to our members dealing with thoughts of suicide.
Sometimes it’s hard to know when you need mental health support. Here are some of the signs it may be time to seek help. People love you and want to be there for you, so let them. Reach out when you need support.
