Eat Healthy, Stay Healthy
March is National Nutrition Month. Maintaining a healthy diet is the first step to living a long, healthy life.
A nutritious diet can:
- Support your immune system
- Help your digestive system
- Lower risk of health issues like heart disease and type 2 diabetes
- Keep skin, eyes, and teeth healthy
Eating healthily doesn’t have to mean eating less — it’s about eating food that gives your body what it needs to work efficiently and stay healthy. A complete, healthy diet that you enjoy is one of the best things you can do to get your key vitamins and nutrients and improve your overall health.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive, either. Making simple replacements like greek yogurt instead of sour cream and cutting back on sodium are simple ways to make a big difference.
Meal prepping can make eating healthy consistently less tedious. Knowing what you’re eating for the week makes shopping more manageable, and you’ll spend much less time thinking about what you’re making for meals. Even just switching out sugary drinks with water or tea makes a difference.
