Getting five sunburns can double your risk for skin cancer.

Whether you’re on the job or at the beach, remember to protect your skin from long-term complications like premature aging and skin cancer.

Stay safe in the sun by following these tips:

  • Use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher
  • Re-apply once every two hours, or every hour if swimming
  • Wear sunglasses or a hat to decrease exposure
  • Spend time in the shade when possible

Don’t forget to drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration and heatstroke.
